Equal Access for Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance
(EACH Woman) Act

Since it was first enacted in 1976, the Hyde Amendment, and laws like it, withhold funding that is critical to ensuring that every woman has access to safe and affordable abortion care. Many women in the AAPI community, particularly Hmong, Burmese, and Bangladeshi American and Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, struggle every day to make ends meet. NAPAWF is committed to the fight to lift these bans on abortion coverage to ensure that the voices of women are heard and that their stories are told. Policies like the Equal Access for Abortion Coverage in Health Insurance (EACH Woman) Act bring us one step closer to achieving health equity and ensuring that every woman has the power to make the best decisions for herself and her family, regardless of her income or her insurance plan.
In October 2015, NAPAWF sisters from across the country joined All*Above All and over 200 activists on Capitol hill to urge them to #BeBoldEndHyde and support the EACH Woman Act.
