After the landmark passage of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) last year, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has released a proposed rule to implement the act. These protections will ensure that pregnant workers who need accommodations are treated right by their employer during pregnancy, childbirth, and any related medical conditions.

Based on a template comment created by A Better Balance, Center for WorkLife Law, National Women’s Law Center, ACLU, National Partnership for Women and Families, and Legal Aid at Work, the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) wrote and submitted this comment to the EEOC proposed rule.
